AUGUSTA – Stephanie J. Ostertag, 53, died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2023 at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta. She was born in Lewiston on July 18, 1970, a daughter of Robert P. and Susan T. (Lajoie) Schneider.

Mrs. Ostertag was a graduate of Cony High School, class of 1988.

She had been employed at Tilbury Tavern for several years. She also worked at Walmart and Goggins IGA in Randolph.

Mrs. Ostertag is survived by her husband of 27 years, Jason E. Ostertag of Augusta; three children, Carl A. Witham and his wife Jen of Dedham, Ty R. Witham and his wife Bree of Augusta and Joci C. Witham and her significant other Lucien of Augusta; her parents, Robert P. and Susan T. (Lajoie) Schneider of Augusta; a brother, Robert Schneider and his wife Nicole of Augusta, a sister, Keri Martinez and her husband JD of Farmingdale; two grandchildren, Ryker and Charlotte Witham’ as well as several aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 20, from 1 – 4 p.m. at the American Legion, Post #2, 7 Legion Dr., Augusta.
