AUGUSTA — McKee Law has announced that effective Jan. 1, the firm became McKee Morgan.
The change in the firm name is in recognition of partner Matt Morgan’s importance to the firm and decade of high level work for the firm’s clients, according to a news release from the firm.
Walt McKee, the firm’s owner, noted: “It is no small matter to change a firm name, and especially in a small firm like ours. But Matt is a top-notch attorney and an exceptional person, and I am proud to have his name next to mine.”
Morgan’s practice, along with the general practice of the firm, will focus on criminal defense and civil litigation.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
