Anne E. Kimball

AUGUSTA – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Anne E. Kimball, 61, on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023, at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta due to complications related to alcoholism. Born in Augusta, on Oct. 25, 1962, Anne was a beloved daughter of the late Ashley F. and Della T. (Thomas) Kimball.

Anne was a graduate of Cony High School, class of 1981 and later earned an associate degree in radiologic technology from Kennebec Valley Medical Center. She dedicated many years of her life to MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta, where she served as a Radiology Technician.

Despite the challenges she faced in recent years, Anne was a loving and devoted mother before her struggles with alcoholism. She is survived by her three children: Andrew Moulton of Wayne, Christopher Moulton and his wife Megan Moulton of Readfield, and Megan Pinkham and her husband Cody Pinkham of Auburn. Anne also leaves behind one granddaughter, a sister, Susan Ryerson, and her husband Jim of Sidney; and her good friend, Reggie R. Conrad, Jr. of Winthrop. She is further survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Anne’s life will be held on Tuesday, January 23, from 1-3 p.m., at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta, followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m.

The family would like to take this opportunity to encourage anyone who may be struggling with substance abuse or knows someone who does to seek help for this disorder. In honor of our Mother Anne, we hope that her story may serve as a reminder that there is strength in seeking support, and the path to recovery is one that can be walked with the compassion of friends, family, and professional assistance. May those in need find the courage to take the first step towards healing.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Anne’s memory to the Kennebec Valley Humane Society,

10 Pet Haven Lane,

Augusta, ME, 04330.
