Carmel A. Goulet

AUGUSTA – Carmel A. Goulet, 70, died unexpectedly Sunday, January 7, 2024, at her home. She was born in Notre Dame des Bois, Quebec, Canada on April 9, 1953, daughter of the late Eliniere R. and Simone R. (Breault) Turgeon.

Mrs. Goulet attended schools in Canada and was a communicant of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Augusta.

She had been employed by Dirigo Drywall, where she worked for years with her husband, Jean.

Mrs. Goulet was pre-deceased by a brother, Julien Turgeon.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jean Louis Goulet of Augusta; her daughter, Kelly A. Goulet and her fiancée John Flagg of Gardiner; two brothers: Yvan Turgeon of Holyoke, MA and Albert Turgeon Williston, VT; two sisters: Marianne Blais and Lynda Hayden both of Chicopee, MA; her granddaughter, Rylee J. Goulet-Philbrick and her fiancée Nathan St. Amand of Augusta as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be no public visiting hours. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 18th at 11 AM at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta. Burial will be at a later date at Gracelawn Memorial Park, Auburn.
