PITTSFIELD – Dino Julio Franciosa Frost, 87, died on January 8, 2024, in Skowhegan.

Dino was born on Jan. 9, 1936, in Petterano, Italy, the son of the late Domenick and Enrichetta (DiPietro) Franciosa Frost. He graduated from Maine Central Institute with the class of 1955. He worked the family farm with cattle and poultry his entire life. At the same time, he spent 32 years building homes as a carpenter. He then worked at Frost’s Mobil Station with his brother for 26 years.

As a devoted husband and father, Dino always put his family first. He used his skills to provide whatever they needed over the years. He worked tirelessly to see his children and grandchildren succeed. His passion was supporting the many family projects. He was always the first to arrive at the location and worked until its completion. He loved his family and enjoyed going to the grandchildren’s sporting events.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Erlene; children: Brent Frost and wife Kelli, Dena Hall and husband Rusty, and Eric Frost and wife Julie; eight grandchildren: Domenick, Sarah and husband Chad, Benjamin and wife Natalia, Jason, James and wife Eliana, Jacob, Blake, and Jillian; three great-grandchildren: Lucas, Laney, and Avi; two brothers: Forrest and companion Beverly and Roland and wife Kathy; numerous special nieces and nephews; and extended family in Canada and Massachusetts.

A graveside service will be held in the spring at the Village Cemetery, Peltoma Avenue, Pittsfield.
