Lucienne Arbour

AUGUSTA – Lucienne (Lacasse) Arbour, 92, passed away on Jan. 6, 2024, after a short illness. Lucienne was born in Augusta, the daughter of Ernest and Elise (Levesque) Lacasse.

She graduated from Cony High School in 1950. She married Bertrand J. Arbour on July 6, 1954, at St. Augustine Church in Augusta where she was a lifelong parishioner.

She was a stay-at-home mom for many years. She worked for Depositors Trust Company, Edwards Manufacturing Company and for Dr. Maurice Guillemette.

Lucienne was predeceased by her husband, parents, sons-in-law Marc Fontaine and Raymond Pare; and four sisters: Christine Violette, Sr. Blanche Lacasse, Jeannette Beaudoin, and Bernadette Pepin.

She is survived by her children: Susan Mitton and her husband Frederick of Manchester, and Lisa Pare of Sidney; grandson Matthew Fontaine and his wife Shelby of Seattle, WA, granddaughter Nicole Emmons and her husband Ryan of Sidney, granddaughter Jennifer Pare of Sidney, and granddaughter Sarah Pare of Sidney; great grandsons Johnny and Zander Fontaine of Seattle, WA, and Michael and Marc Emmons of Sidney; sisters-in-law Gloria Fleming of Augusta and Sharon Chase Arbour of Kalispell, MT; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Alfond Center for Health at MaineGeneral Medical Center (1 West) for the excellent care that she received.

At her request, no public visiting hours are being held. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Augustine Church, 75 Northern Avenue, Augusta, on Monday, January 15, 2024 at 10:00 am. Burial will be in the Maine Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
