Johnny Ater

Johnson Hall plans to present an evening of stand-up comedy featuring Johnny Ater and hosted by Mark Turcotte at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, at The Blind Pig Next Level, at 11 Mechanic St. in Gardiner.

Those who attend will hear jokes about life in Maine, the meaning of life, and everything in between. Each show features at least three comedians and runs about 90 minutes. These performances are intended for mature audiences and will contain adult language and content; ages 21 and older only.

The show also will feature Cloud Morris, Sara Poulin and Tamara Lilly.

Whether he’s taking light-hearted swipes at himself and his fellow Mainers, or contorting his face into hilarious characters, Ater has left audiences laughing throughout New England and beyond since 2003. He offers hilarious and honest stories about life, family, relationships, work, and his colorful friends. Ater has performed at the Punchline in San Francisco, and Coconuts in Tampa, headlined the Maine Comedy Festival, and made his television debut on The Nite Show with Danny Cashman.

Tickets cost $22 for all seats. This is a general admission show and is part of Johnson Hall’s On the Road Series while the theater undergoes a full renovation.
