Arnold William St. Claire

LEWISTON – Arnold William St. Claire, 72, of Litchfield, passed away unexpectedly following a brief illness on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2024. He was born in Lewiston on Aug. 17, 1951, the son of Henry St. Claire. He was educated in the Litchfield school system, and in the year 2000 received his GED. On March 4, 1972, in Sabattus, he married Fern Huff. Over the years he was an extremely hard worker, in most recent years he spent working with Eben Mann at the sawmill, which he loved. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved making his own maple syrup, hunting, fishing, trapping, and feeding the wildlife. He spent numerous hours at camp by “his” pond, that he stocked to the enjoyment of his children and grandchildren. He loved spending time with his family and friends and was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan. Survivors include his wife and love of his life of 51 years, Fern St. Claire, a son, Jason St. Claire of Litchfield, a daughter, Lisa Clark and son-in-law, Scott Clark of Auburn. He loved his five grandchildren, Evin, Ryan, Kian, Lindsey, Renee, and three great-grandchildren, Jackson, Loreli, and Charlie. He was involved in their lives as they were growing up and was a huge influence on how they were raised. Arnold will be missed more than words can say.
