The Sun Journal obtained the dispatch records from police departments in Auburn, Lewiston, Lisbon and the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office from the time the first 911 call was made from Just-In-Time Recreation in Lewiston at 6:56 p.m. on Oct. 25 to the moment gunman Robert Card’s body was found in Lisbon at 7:45 p.m. on Oct. 27.
Beyond the initial calls to the Lewiston-Auburn 911 Communications Center for police to respond to an active shooter first at the bowling alley and then at Schemengees Bar & Grille, the dispatch logs don’t make any direct connection to the shootings, but they do reveal dozens of calls from the public reporting suspicious people and suspicious cars at multiple locations in Auburn, Lewiston and Lisbon during the hunt for Card.
In addition, the logs show local and county officers were dispatched hundreds of times during two days of lockdown for a variety of routine calls unrelated to the shootings, including multiple car accidents, noise complaints, reports of thefts and burglaries, complaints about loose dogs, disorderly disturbance calls and a couple of fireworks violations.
The dispatch information below has been edited for privacy to remove dozens more calls for reasons including medical care, calls for parents who needed help managing a child, other domestic issues and alarms that were reported at private homes.
Each dispatch entry lists — in this order — the time of the call, the responding police department, the reason for the call, action by the police, the street address police responded to and the city.
