FAIRFIELD — Allie Dunning had 17 points and six steals as the Forest Hills girls basketball team defeated Islesboro 45-37 on Wednesday at Kennebec Valley Community College in Fairfield.

Kylie Yu had 12 points, five rebounds and four steals for Forest Hills (10-3).

Anna Zlotkowski scored 12 points for Islesboro (7-6), followed by Alma Bewsher with 10.

 

MADISON 53, WINTHROP 25: After a close first quarter, the Bulldogs (12-0) pulled away the rest of the way to take an MVC tilt in Winthrop.

Raegan Cowan and Mackenzie Robbins scored 11 points apiece to pace Madison, which led 12-9 heading into the second quarter. Kylee Furbush pitched in with nine.

Madeline Wagner led all scorers with 12 points for Winthrop (8-4), including 10 from the free-throw line. Kylee Mansir added seven points.

 

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 62, KENTS HILL 28: Haley DeHahn scored 16 points as the Mustangs (5-8) won in Readfield.

Kaitlyn Frost added 12 points for Monmouth, followed by Tarynn Keleher (11) and Lillian Palleschi (10).

Stefani Munok scored 10 points for Kents Hill (0-11).

BOYS BASKETBALL

 

FOREST HILLS 58, ISLESBORO 47: Blaine Nadeau had 16 points and 16 rebounds as the Tigers (9-5) earned the win at Kennebec Valley Community College in Fairfield.

Jaxson Desjardins scored a game-high 25 points for Forest Hills, while Braidan Welch had 14 points and eight rebounds.

Harper Conover led Islesboro (7-6) with 12 points, followed by Robert Conover with 11.
