AUGUSTA – Theresa E. Henry, 96 years old, transitioned very peacefully to heaven, with her daughter Mary at her side, after a brief illness on Jan. 21, 2024. She was born on Sept. 25, 1927, to Maude and Gustave Gagnon in Jay.

She enjoyed being a wife, a mother, homemaker, baking breads and goodies, knitting, and crocheting. She lived independently right up to the end. She was loved by so many that knew her.

She was predeceased by her husband, Patrick J. Henry in 2014; her parents, Maude and Gustave Ganon; son-in-law, Paul; brothers, Daniel, Philip, Peter, Lawrence, and Amos, and sisters, Marion, Ella, and Margaret.

She is survived by her children, Mike, Marlene, Larry, Danny, John, and Mary; grandchildren, Duncan, Collin, Matthew, and Christopher; great grandchildren, Avery, Emily and Evan; and her brother, Richard.

Our family would like to thank the staff on Critical Care unit at Alfond Center for Health (MaineGeneral) for their excellent care.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 23 at 10 a.m. at the new Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 163 Mt. Vernon Rd., Augusta.
