SAUGUS, Mass. – Mr. Donald F. Quimby, of Saugus, 87, formerly of Farmingdale, Maine, died on Dec. 15, 2023, at the Chestnut Woods Rehabilitation Center in Saugus, Mass. He was the husband of the late Carol (Thorne) Quimby.
Born in Lowell, Mass., he was the son of the late Richard and Julia (MacKenzie) Quimby. A United States Air Force veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Quimby worked as a buyer for 20 years for the Department of Defense in the state of Maine. He enjoyed fresh water fisher, traveling, gardening and wintering in Florida.
Mr. Quimby is survived by his daughter Lori S. Barrett and her partner Frank Tunnera of Saugus, Mass.; brother, Richard Quimby of Utah; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother John “Jack” Quimby.
At the request of the family services were private.
