Sherri Otterson, president of the Maine Dragon Boat Club, invites people who would like to join the Dragon Boat Club to meet weekly on Wednesdays in February and March.

The first meeting is set for 5:30 p.m. Feb. 7 in the teen room at Norway Memorial Library, 258 Main St.

Dragon Boating is the ultimate team sport, consisting of a drummer, steersperson, and 20 paddlers who work together in unison to move the boat forward quickly and smoothly on Lake Pennesseewassee. It is low cost, easy to start, increases overall fitness, and improves mental health, according to a news release from Alana DePerte at the library.

For club information, contact Otterson at mainedragonboatclub@gmail.com or 207-890-7367.

For display information, visit norwaymemoriallibrary.org or call 207-743-5309 ext. 1.
