UNION —  The Trustees of the Union Fair/Maine’s Wild Blueberry Festival have released the dates to their 2024 event.

The 2024 Union Fair is set to start Sunday, July 7, and end Wednesday, July 10, according to a news release from Rick Butler, head publicist for Union Fair/Maine’s Wild Blueberry Festival.

The event will feature agricultural animals, livestock pulling events, exhibition hall displays and contest entries, and 4-H Barn, 4-H Farm to Fair, and 4-H Yurt.

The Matthew’s Museum and Moxie Museum also will be open.

The Union Fair will offer complementary admission from Sunday to Tuesday, July 7-9.

The 2024 Maine’s Wild Blueberry Festival will start Wednesday, July 10, and end Sunday July 14.

July 10 will include many blueberry themed events, including the traditional blueberry pie dessert giveaway and the coronation of the 2024 Maine’s Wild Blueberry Queen at 6:30 p.m.

Midway rides, provided by Smokey’s Greater Shows, will start at 1 p.m. beginning Wednesday, July 10.

Other events during Maine’s Wild Blueberry Festival will include a Children’s Pig Scramble, Tuff Truck competition, bands and solo musical artists, kids’ events, and for the first time the Axe Women Loggers of Maine will perform three lumberjill shows daily from Friday through Sunday, July 12-14.

The annual Demolition Derby will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 13.

Admission during the 2024 Maine’s Wild Blueberry Festival will be $20 for anyone 24 inches or taller. The $20 admission includes all entertainment, events, and unlimited midways rides.
