WATERVILLE — Kenny Mecham scored 17 points as Class C Richmond defeated Class B Waterville 74-53 in boys basketball action Friday.
Logan Zoulamis added 15 points for Richmond (15-2), followed by Wyatt Cassidy and Zander Steele with 11 apiece.
Elijah Cullen had 15 points for Waterville (3-12), followed by Derek Couture and Garrett Gendreau with 13 each.
MARANACOOK 83, DIRIGO 62: Jack Fontaine paced the Black Bears with 17 points in a win in Dixfield.
Keegan McClure and Elijah Freeman each tallied 15 for Maranacook (14-3). Jacob McLaughlin (11) and Robbie Vivenzio (10) also reached double figures.
Nathaniel Wainwright dropped in a game-high 24 points for Dirigo (9-6) and Travis Wright recorded 15.
WINTHROP 41, OAK HILL 39: Chan Ring scored 12 points for the Ramblers in their win in Wales.
Cole Bard added another 10 points for Winthrop (10-6).
Eli Desmond tallied a game-high 13 points for Oak Hill (2-14).
CARRABEC 54, TEMPLE ACADEMY 17: Desmond Robinson scored 20 points to help the Cobras (11-5) to the win in North Anson.
Pete Vicheire added 15 points for Carrabec.
Peyton Reckards led Temple Academy (8-9) with 14 points.
HALL-DALE 51, MADISON 37: Karter Eldridge scored 14 points and Keegan Cary 13 as the Bulldogs (10-6) prevailed in Madison.
Ethan Linkletter scored 11 points for Madison (7-8).
GIRLS BASKETBALL
VALLEY 57, ISLESBORO 7: Madeline Hill scored 20 points as the Cavaliers breezed past the Eagles at Thomas College.
Kirsten Bigelow added 16 points for Valley (16-0) in the win. Liana Hartwell had five points, six rebounds, seven assists and five steals for the Cavaliers.
Islesboro falls to 7-9 with the loss.
CARRABEC 62, TEMPLE ACADEMY 29: Molly Hay scored 35 points as the Cobras (10-7) won easily in North Anson.
Ten of Hay’s points came from behind the free-throw line.
Mia Fitzpatrick scored 13 points for Temple Academy (4-13).
MOUNTAIN VALLEY 49, WINTHROP 39: Brooke Bennett scored 10 points for the Falcons in their victory in Rumford.
Four other Mountain Valley (7-8) players — Madison Dow, Ali Mazza, Aylvia Theriault and Ella Young — chipped in seven points each.
Ella Rice finished with a game-high 19 points for Winthrop (11-5).
RICHMOND 56, WATERVILLE 28: Izzy Stewart had 22 points, seven rebounds and three blocks to pace the Bobcats to the win in Richmond.
Darby Flanagan added 12 points, seven rebounds and two blocks for Richmond (15-2).
Waterville (2-13) was led by Mara Von Oesen with 17 points.
