MADISON — Members of the American Legion Family Post No. 39 in Madison plan to host a benefit spaghetti dinner, 50/50 raffle and live auction on Saturday, Feb. 17 (with a snow date of Feb. 24) for the flood victims of Anson, North Anson and Madison.

There are 20 families and four businesses affected, many of whom were displaced from the Dec. 18 storm.

The event will be held at the American Legion Hall, 20 South Maple Street in Madison.

Dinner, held from 4:30-6 p.m., includes spaghetti with a choice of meat or meatless sauce, salad, bread and dessert.

The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 5-12, and those under 5 are free.

The auction will start at 6 p.m. New or slightly used items being sought for the auction include quilts, pictures, tools, small furniture, gift cards, theme baskets/boxes/totes such as items for movie night, homemade goodies (baked goods, pickles, jams), non-perishable items, girls or boys items, and coffee and/or cocoa with mugs.

Call Harriet Bryant at 635-2051 for more information. Those who can’t make it that night but wish to make a monetary donation can make a check payable to American Legion Post #39 and mail it to P.O. Box 144, Madison, ME 04950; earmark it Flood Benefit.
