Sylvia Palmer and Linda Anderson finished first at the Elm City Bridge Club in Waterville during the Jan. 30 duplicate bridge session.
Janine Prewitt and Maureen Brochu placed second; Diane Bishop and Ken Harvey placed third.
Games begin at 12:30 p.m. Tuesdays at the Waterville Elks Lodge, 76 Industrial St.; new players are welcome.

Capitol City Duplicate Bridge Club
The Capitol City Duplicate Bridge Club winners for Jan. 31 were Paul Mitnik and Paul Sherman. Ron Cote and Vern Arey placed second; Dennis Purington and Glenn Angell placed third.
The winners for Feb. 1 were Anil Goswami and Tom Simmons. Paul Mitnik and Vern Arey tied Dennis Purington and Glenn Angell for second place..
The games are played at noon Wednesday and 6 p.m. Thursday at the East Winthrop Baptist Church, 55 Old Village Road.
Participants should bring a partner. Those who need a partner can call Mitnik, the director, at 207-313-2648 at least two days in advance of the scheduled games.
