LEWISTON — Celia Zinman scored three goals to pace the offense as top-ranked Yarmouth/Freeport topped No. 5 Winslow/Gardiner/Cony/Lawrence/Messalonskee/Maranacook/Erskine/Mt. Blue 7-1 in a Class A North girls hockey semifinal at the Colisee in Lewiston.

Isabelle Peters added a pair of goals for Yarmouth/Freeport (16-4), while Rosie Paneka and Ella Zur Mullen also scored.

The Clippers will face #2-Penobscot Pioneers on Tuesday the 13th at 7:00 p.m. at the Norway Savings Bank Arena in Auburn.  The Black Tigers finished at 11-11.

 

BOYS HOCKEY

 

CONY/MONMOUTH/ERSKINE/MT. BLUE/RICHMOND 6, BREWER/LAWRENCE/SKOWHEGAN 3: Zack Waddell potted two tallies for the Rams at Penobscot Ice Arena in Brewer.

Cooper Clark had a goal and three assists for the Rams (9-5-0), while Ben Platt had a goal and an assist. Alex Leet and Oliver Rodrigue each had a goal.

Grady Vanidestine finished with a goal and two helpers for the Brewer co-op. Baylon Cramm and Dominic Stecher also found the back of the net. Hunter Merrithew had two assists. Landon Foster made 48 saves for the Rams and Ethan Hanscom stopped 36 shots for the Witches (5-9-1)
