The China Four Seasons Club and China Village Volunteer Fire Department are partnering for the fifth annual China Lake Ice Fishing Derby, set for Sunday, Feb. 18.
The event is coordinated with the China Ice Days Winter Festival, featuring town-wide activities that include a special dinner at the Mason’s Lodge on Friday night followed by events on Saturday like corn hole tournaments and skating with a bonfire and s’mores.
Sunday’s fishing is limited to China Lake. Tickets will be on sale at many local stores, bait dealers, and available through members of both the China Four Seasons Club and the CVVFD.
Each ticket also serves as a raffle ticket to win many door prizes donated by local businesses and Fishing Derby sponsors. Last year there was over $7,500 in prizes and awards. Ticket prices are $5 each or three for $10.
