Recycled Shakespeare has planned performances of ‘Richard III” in Fairfield, Waterville and Augusta.
See it first at the famous Pizza and Play at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, at the Fairfield House of Pizza, 207 Main St., in Fairfield. Reservations are required due to limited seating. To RSVP call 207-314-4730.
On Sunday, Feb. 25, RSC will be on stage at the South Parish Congregational Church, 9 Church St., Augusta; concessions will be available.
An exciting new venue has opened and RSC is honored to be the first troupe to perform at the new Playhouse at Waterville Station (formerly Railroad Square Cinema), at 17 Railroad Square in Waterville, on Saturday, Feb. 24.
Former Aqua City Actors Theater board member, Randy Jones, purchased it for ACAT to use. They will run it with the purpose of collaborating with other theater companies and performers so smaller theaters have a space, according to a news release from Lyn Rowden.
It is not even fully operational yet but ACAT board member and actor in this production, Ben Keene, coordinated this effort.
A full cast of all ages is directed by Shana Page with original theme music by Joshua Bickford, and fight choreography by Josh Fournier. The deeply emotional portrayal of the egomaniacal tyrant by Murray Herard, is rounded out with performances by Margaret Mae Lambert as mad Queen Margaret, Sara Wing as stalwart Queen Elizabeth, Tasha Jencks-Ayres as the piteous Queen Anne, Tammy Werber as the loyal yet doomed Lord Buckingham, and Ben Keene as the heroic Henry Tudor.
A $10 donation will be accepted with a prior reservation.
