While I agree wholeheartedly with Karen Heck’s letter to the editor in Saturday’s paper, I am struck by one fact she quite obviously bypassed. She did not make any mention of the brutal attack by Hamas in southern Israel on Oct. 7, 2023. Members of Hamas were apparently proud of the murder, mutilation, rape and kidnapping of Israeli citizens and those heinous crimes ought not be forgotten in current conversations.
