Kelli (Gay) Bridget Conneely

AUGUSTA – Kelli (Gay) Bridget Conneely, who considered Henniker, N.H., to be her home, died on March 15, 2024, at the age of 63, after a long battle with lung disease. A non-smoker, her doctors attributed her debilitating condition to decades of working in offices alongside smokers.

Kelli graduated from Henniker High School in 1978; graduated Summa Cum Laude from New England College in Henniker in 2000 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Management, and in 2005 earned her Master’s Degree in Management. Kelli was an accountant for the New England College Finance Department for many years.

More recently, Kelli lived in Augusta, with her husband, Gary Fish, where she worked as an accountant for the State of Maine. She was counting the days until she could return to Henniker to be closer to her family and friends upon her retirement.

Kelli was predeceased by her mother, Mary Beatrice (Dodge) Gay of Henniker, N.H., who died in 2000, and her father Edward Gay of West Halifax, Vt., who died in 2016.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Fish of Augusta; her son, John Schroetter of Henniker, N.H.; her friend and former husband Karl Schroetter of Henniker, N.H.; her little sister, Shelli Gay of Hopkinton, N.H.; her brother Danny Strickland of Henniker, N.H.; her nephew James Otey of Hopkinton, N.H.; her stepmother, Elizabeth Hull of West Halifax, Vt.; two stepbrothers Eric and Ian Hull of Vermont, plus family in Ireland, England, and Australia.

There will be no calling hours or funeral service. She will be buried in Henniker, N.H.
