Mid-Maine Technical Center students competed at the SkillsUSA Maine State Championships held March 15 hosted by United Technologies Center and Eastern Maine Community College in Bangor.
More than 700 students representing 23 career and technical schools throughout the state participated in the event. The Gold Medal winners will represent Maine in the National SkillsUSA Championships, set for June 24-29 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Participating MMTC students are home schooled, or attend Lawrence, Maine Academy of Natural Sciences, Erskine Academy, Messalonskee, Temple Academy, Waterville Senior, Maine Connections, and Winslow high schools.
The following MMTC students earned medals at the event.
State Gold Medalists: Riley King and Lauren Stewart, Waterville, Emergency Medical Tech; and Logan Nadeau, Messalonskee, Outdoor Leadership.
State Silver Medalists: Arian Gilman, Waterville, Nurse Assisting; Aaliyah Lavalee, Messalonskee, Outdoor Leadership; Vivan King and Kayleigh Marchette, Messalonskee/Lawrence, Mobile Robotics; Ava Ryan, Temple Academy, Job Interview; and Riley Thomas, Waterville, Cabinetmaking.
State Bronze Medalists: Cadence Little and Connor Mahoney, Winslow, Mobile Robotics; Dawson Lizotte, Messalonskee, Precision Machining; and Gabrielle St. Peter, Waterville, Criminal Justice.
