Daurice “Dot” Caron

THE VILLAGES, Fla. – Daurice “Dot” Caron, 95, of The Villages, Fla., died on March 2, 2024. She was born in Rockland, Maine to Willard M. and Ruth (Plummer) Sewall. She graduated from Brunswick High School in 1946 and married George Caron. They were married 72 years.

Dot worked as a service representative for Central Maine Power Company in Augusta until her retirement. She was an avid Bridge player and played with the same bridge club in Augusta for 30 years before moving to The Villages, Fla. where she quickly joined a bridge group and played for another 30 years.

She will be remembered most for her love of family and especially her grandchildren who spent lots of time at her pool and had almost weekly sleepovers.

She was predeceased by her husband George; her son David; and her brother Charles Sewall.

She is survived by her daughters Sandra Perkins of Vassalboro and Deborah LaFlamme (John) of The Villages, Fla.; grandsons Jeff LaFlamme of Austin, Texas and Chad Perkins of Vassalboro, granddaughters Sarah LaFlamme (Alison) of Oley, Pa. and Jennifer Livingstone (Abel) of Hampstead, NH; great grandsons Jacques and Philippe LaFlamme and great granddaughters Anna and Elsie Livingstone; nephews Charlie and Chris Sewall.

Burial will be at the Maine Veterans Cemetery.
