WATERVILLE — Brian J. King has joined the Thomas College board of trustees.
King, a senior executive with Bank of America and president of Bank America Maine, graduated from Thomas in 1993.

“My parents met each other at Thomas College back in 1959 and to this day, some of my closest friendships originated during my years at Thomas College. This is an opportunity to help lead Thomas College and ensure future students have the same opportunities I had,” King said in a news release.
The Sidney resident, a product executive in the Consumer and Small Business product division, is responsible for Bank of America’s checking account products and portfolio. He has been with Bank of America for 26 years.
As president of Bank of America in Maine, King is responsible for connecting clients, teammates and communities, driving integration across the eight lines of business. He also leads the effort to deploy Bank of America’s resources to help advance economic mobility and build strong communities.
King’s community involvement includes serving on the Junior Achievement of Maine board of directors, the Maine State Chamber of Commerce board, and the board of directors at Educate Maine.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
