INDUSTRY — Sparrows Nest Theater is set to hold open auditions for its 2024 season at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, April 6 and 7, at the 1114 West Mills Road theater.
The lineup this season includes: “12 Angry Jurors,” May 30-June 2, which will need 13 adult roles; “Trumpet of the Swan,” June 27-30, children and adult roles; “Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society’s The Christmas Carol,” July 25-28, four adult females, one adult male; and “Clue,” Oct. 17-20, five male and five female roles.
A summer camp for young actors has been scheduled from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Thursday, July 29-Aug. 18, culminating with a production of “Children’s Letters to God“ performed on Aug. 18-21. The production will feature five lead singers and five to 15 ensemble, ranging in age from 8-18. The cost is $150 per camper. Multi camper and work for tuition discounts are available.
