Strength in Sound: A Lewiston Strong Community Concert will be performed beginning at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, at Lewiston High School.

This concert is a part of UMaine Orono Concert Band’s 2024 Spring Band Tour, and for their stop in Lewiston they have invited the Lewiston Public Schools Elementary, Middle and High School concert bands to perform with them. Each band will perform various selections and the concert will culminate with all four bands performing a musical piece together as a gesture of community support and celebration that we are “Lewiston Strong.” The composer of the piece will be making a special statement to the musicians via video prior to the full performance.

Doors will open at 1:30 by the gymnasium entrance at the high school. There is no entrance fee, but donations will be accepted. Concessions may be available for purchase (not definite).
