Leading up to the June primaries, I’ve been reflecting on my mom’s steadfast commitment to what truly matters. She’s been a constant source of support for my younger brother and me, and her dedication to our community is undeniable. As a founder or member of several boards and committees, she’s always been dedicated to making Waterville a better place, an exemplar of one of her favorite sayings: “Less talk, more do.”

Now, with women’s rights under attack, her promise to prioritize reproductive care resonates — this isn’t just about politics; it’s personal. She’s fighting for my rights and those of every other girl in Maine. I can’t wait to cast my first-ever vote for her in the upcoming primary.

I hope you’ll join me in supporting the best candidate to represent Waterville’s House District 65: my mom, Cassie Julia.
