Gardiner Main Street, Friends of Cobbossee Watershed, Kennebec Land Trust, Upstream Cobbossee and other civic groups plan to celebrate Earth Day by picking up trash in the Cobbossee Watershed.

They will gather from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 20.

In 2023, more than 100 volunteers and a dozen nonprofits cleaned up 31 locations in five towns. Volunteers of all ages pulled out over 1,100 pounds of trash from Cobbossee Stream and the watershed.

Volunteers can learn more by finding the event listed on the Gardiner Main Street’s Facebook page.
