Matt Cost will give a talk featuring “Pirate Trap,” his latest release in the Clay Wolfe/Port Essex series from 4-5 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, in the Androscoggin Community Room at the Auburn Public Library.
Cost will talk about the creation of the town of Port Essex on the Maine coast, the evolution of the series leading to this fifth book, and the love of pirates that we all possess in some corner of our being. Cost will discuss the research that went into the book and how it is quite possible that this long-lost treasure actually exists. The corresponding code to decipher the location described in the book will be shared in this presentation.
Cost is the highly acclaimed, award-winning author of the Mainely Mystery series. The first book, “Mainely Power,” was selected as the Maine Humanities Council Read ME Fiction Book of 2020. This was followed by four more books in the series. His Clay Wolfe/Port Essex Mysteries include “Wolfe Trap,” “Mind Trap,” “Mouse Trap,” and “Cosmic Trap,” with “Pirate Trap,” book five in the series, being released in March 2024. He has written several other novels in addition to these series. Cost lives in Brunswick and spends his days writing.
Copies of his books will be available for sale.
