AUGUSTA — Lance Theriault scattered two hits and one run to lead Cony to a 4-1 win over Oceanside in baseball action Wednesday.

Theriault also had a double for the Rams (2-2).

Oceanside falls to 2-2.

 

OAK HILL 11, MARANACOOK 1: Landen Denis pitched five innings and allowed one run on three hits, leading the Raiders to a six-inning victory in Wales.

Trent Drouin hit a triple and scored two runs for Oak Hill (3-0).

Maranacook (2-1) lost for the first time this season.

 

MT. ABRAM 11, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 2: Payton Mitchell struck out seven of the nine batters he faced for the Roadrunners, leading them to victory in Rumford.

Propelled by a five-run second inning, Mt. Abram (2-0) maintained the lead the entire game. Ash Rollins, Bear Rollins and Logan Dube each scored two runs.

Killian Pillsbury and Ash Rollins each tallied a double, and Bryce Wilcox and Bear Rollins each contributed a triple.

Kaden Paaso pitched one inning for Mountain Valley (0-3) but left with an injury. The Falcons recorded two hits against Mt. Abram pitching, scoring two runs apiece in the fourth and fifth innings.

MT. BLUE 14, BRUNSWICK 4: The Cougars’ top of the order, combined with the Dragons’ mistakes led to a five-inning win in Brunswick.

Mt. Blue (1-1) leadoff batter Gage DeCarolis had three hits and three RBIs, and No. 2 hitter Nolan Leso supplied two singles and a walk. Leso also pitched two hitless innings to start, striking out four and walking one. Dane Cousineau also pitched two hitless innings of relief, striking out three.

Brunswick (1-3) was done in by eight errors. Starter Tyler Maxim only allowed two hits in three innings, and only three of the nine runs he gave up were earned, but the Cougars drew eight walks against him. A bright spot for the Dragons was Noah Gaghan, who doubled and drove in two runs. Liam Scholl had Brunswick’s other hit and also drove in a run.

OXFORD HILLS 11, MESSALONSKEE 1: Maddy Miller hit a double and a triple for the Vikings, leading them to victory in Paris.

Kyeria Morse pitched all five innings for Oxford Hills (3-1), racking up eight strikeouts, and she logged two doubles at the plate, complimented by doubles from Samantha McPhail and Cameron Mayhan.

Olivia Thomas hit a single for Messalonskee’s (1-3) lone hit against Morse. Maddie Wilson pitched for 3 1/3 innings, recording two strikeouts.

 

OAK HILL 23, WINTHROP/MARANACOOK 13: The Raiders scored multiple runs in every inning, including a nine-run fourth, in a high-scoring five-inning win in Wales.

Ava Rivet led the charge with five hits, three RBIs and four runs scored for Oak Hill (3-0). Carlee Austin had three hits, including a double, and three RBIs. Aubrey McElhaney and Izzy Whitaker each hit a triple and a single, with Whitaker driving in three runs and McElhaney two. Delia Custer added three singles and two RBIs.

Charlotte Taylor tallied two hits and four RBIs for Maranacook/Winthrop (1-2), and Ella Rice also collected two hits.

 

MT. ABRAM 6, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 5: Adrianna Stinchfield struck out 16 batters as the Roadrunners scored enough runs early to edge the Falconsin Salem Township.

Mt. Abram (1-1), playing as the away team on its home field, scored a run in the top of the first, and Mountain Valley answered to make it 1-1. It was 4-3 Roadrunners after two innings, then Mt. Abram scored two in the top of the third and Mountain Valley scored two in the bottom of the fourth.

Stinchfield allowed just one hit. Ari Dereszynksi had two singles and two RBIs for Mt. Abram, and Kate Hold had a double and an RBI.

Those were the only three hits allowed by Falcons pitcher Lanee Boucher, who struck out three batters. Hayden Chase had the lone hit for Mountain Valley (0-3).
