AUGUSTA – M. Alice Morang, 82, formerly of Winthrop and Monmouth, passed away at the Alfond Center for Health at Augusta, on April 15, 2024, due to complications from COPD. She was born in Augusta on June 10, 1941, to the late Lionel and Virginia (Ames) Giroux.

Alice loved cooking and baking, especially for others. She also enjoyed volunteering at the Cohen Community Center in Hallowell where she met many new friends and reminisced with friends from her school days.

In addition to her parents and husband, Bob, she was predeceased by her brother, Edward and great grandson, Evan.

Alice is survived by her children, Shawn, Lynn, and Keith (Kelly) Morang, all of Winthrop, her six grandchildren, Lance, Cheyanne, Chad, Michael, Easton, and Taylor, as well as nine great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and close friends.

A private burial will be held at the Maine Veterans Cemetery, 163 Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta at a later date.
