Lillian Laura Dulac

AUGUSTA – Lillian Laura Dulac, of Augusta, passed away peacefully at 100 years old on April 23, 2024, at the Maine General Rehab and LTC at Glenridge in Augusta.

She was born in Manchester on May 15, 1923, and was one of eight children of Lillian and Harry Farrington.

Lillian grew up in the Augusta/Manchester area. She had a lengthy work background, ranging from Bath Iron Works, Hallowell Shoe, Hazzard Shoe, Taylor Shoe, the State House cleaning at night and then at Digital Equipment until she retired.

Lillian never met a stranger. She had a way of commanding the room and people were easily drawn to her. Her bright smile and uncanny personality were highly sought after. She loved her family deeply and was incredibly proud of them. As a neighbor and friend, you could expect muffins and coffee to be ready and served daily, her door was always open to those she loved.

She had a deep love for gardening, watching the Boston Red Sox, attending her grand/great-grandchildren’s events, playing a card game at any given moment, socializing with friends and family, loving on her pup, Max, or diving into a good book.

At nearly 101 years old, Lillian has an extensive family tree.

She was predeceased by her husband, Jean P. Dulac; her three brothers, four sisters; son, Walter Stevens; and her granddaughter, Laura Lee.

She is greatly survived by her son, Norman F. Hallowell and daughter-in-law Theresa, daughter-in-law Carol Therriault, daughter-in-law Jeannie Pidacks and husband Bob; her granddaughter Valerie Stacey and husband Brian, granddaughter Laurie Blouin and husband Romeo, granddaughters Melanie, Jennifer Tomberlin and husband Kevin; great-grandchildren, Samantha Ware and husband Corey, Matthew Tardiff and wife Nikki, Kimberly Ouellette and husband Joel, Abbey Adam and husband Matthew, Jake Anderson and wife Jenny, Travis Stacey and soon-to-be wife Maggie, Sammie, Justin, Dawson, Dain, Hailee and Chase; great-great-grandchildren, Natalie, Nathan, Jaxon, Addie, Livvy, Luke, Silas, Teagen, Connor, Bentley, Damian, Abby, Hayden, Kai, Jared, Brogan and Aspen; her sister-in-law Gerry Farrington; and many nieces and nephews.

Lillian will be greatly missed; may her legacy live on.
