Ashley Ann Owens

SKOWHEGAN – Ashley Ann Owens, 27, passed away on April 27, 2024, in the presence of her loving family.

Ashley was born on Sept. 5, 1996, in Waterville, daughter to Janis G. (Oliver) and Daniel A. Misner. She grew up working side-by-side with her family in their landscaping business.

Ashley went to a church event at New Beginnings Church of God as a child and there began her journey to serve. God. She was an alumnus of Faith Bible College International, formally known as Faith School of Theology. She served at numerous churches, including but not limited to, New Beginnings Church of God, Augusta Worship Center, and Royal Ridge Church of God. She was also a minister in the Church of God.

Ashley’s greatest accomplishments were being a homemaker, raising and homeschooling her children, and being the best wife to her husband, Matthew P. Owens Jr. Ashley loved reading her Bible, various arts and crafts, board games, traveling, working with, and instructing children at church. She was a social person who loved being around family and friends. She enjoyed family get togethers and quality time with her husband and children.

She was predeceased by her grandparents, August and Audrey Misner, Georgia and Laurence Oliver Jr.; and her uncle, Dwight Misner.

Ashley is survived by both her parents, Daniel A. and Janis G. Misner; husband, Matthew P. Owens Jr.; children, Matthew P. Owens III, Isaiah D. Owens, and Joshua I. Owens; siblings Angela C. Dostie, Dawn C. Bryant, and Daniel A. Misner II.

Ashley’s husband and children would like to express a special thank you and appreciation to Ashley’s parents, Daniel and Janis Misner, for their unwavering support and care provided, and to Royal Ridge and New Beginnings Church of God who supported her every step of way.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday, May 4 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Royal Ridge Church of God, 6 Royal Ridge Rd. in Scarborough. Doors will be open at 10 a.m.
