BRUNSWICK – Lorraine A. Kenney, 90, a resident of Brunswick and formerly of Litchfield, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Mid Coast Senior Health.

She was born Jan. 22, 1934, in Gardiner, the daughter of Lloyd and Lyndell (Tozier) Woodman. She was the valedictorian of her graduating class from Litchfield Academy. On Dec. 29, 1954, she married Ronald C. Kenney in Litchfield.

Lorraine worked as a secretary for many shoe manufacturing companies and was also a court reporter.

She enjoyed doing puzzles, crocheting, and reading. She was a loving, devoted, hard-working wife, mother, daughter, sister, and a loyal friend who will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Kenney of Brunswick, a son, Earle Kenney and wife Margaret of Winthrop; two grandchildren, Laura Bowe and husband Darren, and Cory Higgins; two great-grandchildren, Arlo and Wyeth Bowe; a sister, Louella McDonald and husband Lawrence of Wales, a sister-in-law, Donna Woodman of Monmouth; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Ronald C. Kenney; and a brother, Lowell W. Woodman.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 13, at the Litchfield Plains Cemetery, Plains Road, Litchfield. Arrangements by Bragdon-Finley Funeral Home, 707 Main St., Monmouth.
