In response to Pat Truman’s April 24 letter to the editor, “Rep. Lemelin wasn’t disparaging Lewiston’s loss.” Once again Truman points her obdurate finger upon Democrats, castigating them for censuring Lemelin’s callous remarks on the House floor.
Personally, I’d like Truman to defend her unmitigated hubris by evoking a vicious, angry, or even a just God as an appropriate explanation to the tragedy laid upon the Lewiston community. Adding to the cacophony of caustic noise by way of hellfire and brimstone justifies nothing and helps nobody — especially after only six months since the shootings in Lewiston occurred.
