WATERVILLE — As of June 1, medical staff of Augusta & Waterville Women’s Care will join MaineGeneral Medical Center as part of MaineGeneral Obstetrics & Gynecology.
“MaineGeneral welcomes the staff of Augusta & Waterville Women’s Care to our obstetrics and gynecology team, building on our strong collaboration over the years. Growing MaineGeneral OB/GYN with this expert, compassionate staff strengthens access to high-quality, patient-centered OB/GYN care and services for years to come for the women and families of the Kennebec Valley,” Nathan Howell, president and CEO of MaineGeneral Health, said in a news release.
As part of the MaineGeneral OB/GYN team, medical staff will see patients in Augusta at the Alfond Center for Health and in Waterville at the Thayer Center for Health.
“We look forward to being part of a larger care team that we’re already familiar with and have worked beside. Joining the MaineGeneral family expands a valuable network of specialists dedicated to women’s health care in central Maine,” Dr. William George said in the release.
MaineGeneral Health, the third-largest health system in the state, provides comprehensive health care services to people of all ages in the Kennebec Valley.
