Reading the daily newspaper allows me to know the day-to-day events in our community as well as state, national, and world news. When I read the newspaper, the areas that interest me are national and world news as well as the classifieds and the weather.

I am an English class ELA student. I am originally from Baghdad, Iraq. I have read many articles for this course. Reading the local newspaper helped me in my civics lessons too. I understand more about Democrats and Republicans.

Finally, I enjoyed reading the classifieds because I like to go to the yard sales. We do not have those in Iraq.
