Photos: 180 athletes compete at Special Olympics Maine meet in Farmingdale
The Special Olympics Maine Kennebec Area Spring Games drew 180 track and field athletes Thursday to Hall-Dale Middle & High School in Farmingdale to compete and have fun. The annual regional track and field meet has been hosted by students in the Jobs For Maine’s Graduates program for more than 20 years, according Jarod Richmond, the school’s JMG specialist. This year, 90 volunteers from the school’s Jobs for Maine’s Graduates Program and the Key Club worked at the meet, which included 180 athletes ranging from grade school students to adults.
