The following colleges and universities recently announced area students’ academic achievements during the 2024 spring semester.

University of Kentucky College of Arts and Sciences

LEXINGTON, K.Y. — Sara Condon of Winthrop was named to the 2024 spring University of Kentucky College of Arts and Sciences dean’s list. This accomplishment is a sign of her hard work and commitment to learning.

Students on the dean’s list earned 12 or more credit hours as letter grades with a minimum 3.6 GPA for the semester.

Eastern Connecticut State University

WILLIMANTIC, Conn. — Full-time student Olivia Bourque of Vassalboro, a junior who majors in  health sciences, has been named to the 2024 spring semester dean’s list at Eastern Connecticut State University.

To qualify for dean’s list, full-time students must complete a minimum of 12 credits in letter-graded courses with an average GPA of 3.5 or higher in the semester.

University of Maryland Global Campus

ADELPHI, Md. — Three local students have been named to the 2024 spring term dean’s list at University of Maryland Global Campus. To be eligible for the honor, a student must complete at least six credits during the term, earned a grade point average of at least 3.5 for the term, and maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.5 at UMGC.

They are Seth Pratt of Cornville, Tyler Sheets of Fairfield and Hunter Strauch of Dresden.

Susquehanna University

SELINSGROVE, Pa. — Lindy Ouellette of Augusta was named to the 2024 spring semester dean’s list at Susquehanna University.

The dean’s list recognizes students who achieve a grade point average of 3.4 or higher out of a possible 4.0 for the semester. To qualify, students must complete a minimum of 12 semester hours.

University of Rhode Island

KINGSTON, R.I. — The University of Rhode Island has named the following local students to its 2024 spring dean’s list.

They include Kaila Godbey of Jay, Eljas Bergdahl of Manchester, Paige Rice of Mount Vernon, Oliver Blanchard of Pittston, Ella Delisle and Ella Schmidt, both of Readfield; Tucker Pieh of Rome, Danica Serdjenian of Waterville, and Grace Milliken of West Gardiner.

Also, Evan Stone of Wilton, Gavin Murphy of Winslow, and Gabrielle Blanco and Sophia Blanco, both of Winthrop.

To be included on the dean’s list, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades which are GPA applicable during a semester and achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 or more credits for letter grades which are GPA applicable earning at least a 3.30 quality point average.

Emerson College

BOSTON — Four local students have been named to 2024 spring semester dean’s list at Emerson College. The requirement to make dean’s list is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher for that semester.

They Ella Shaffer of Rangeley, majoring in journalism and a member of the Class of 2026; Kailey Pelletier of Readfield, majoring in stage and production management and a member of the Class of 2024; Emma Lavenson of Belgrade, majoring in theatre education and performance and a member of the Class of 2027; and Ella Conway of Skowhegan, majoring in media arts production and a member of the Class of 2026.

Shenandoah University

WINCHESTER, Va. — Kalina Keller, of Knox, is one of 444 students named to the 2024 spring semester president’s list at Shenandoah University.

To qualify for this prestigious academic recognition, students must be enrolled full-time in baccalaureate degree programs and attain a semester GPA of 3.90 or higher. All president’s list honorees are also recognized on the university’s dean’s list, which includes students who earn a semester GPA of 3.50 or higher.

Grove City College

GROVE CITY, Pa. — Isaak Flaming of Dresden, an exercise science major at Grove City College, has been named to the 2024 spring semester dean’s list with high distinction.

Flaming is a 2020 graduate of Morse High School and is the son of Glenn and Simone Flaming from Dresden.

Students eligible for the Dean’s List with High Distinction have a GPA of 3.85 to 4.0.

James Madison University

HARRISONBURG, Va. — Monmouth resident Amber Currie has been named to the 2024 spring semester dean’s list at James Madison University.

Students who earn dean’s list honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of between 3.5 and 3.899. Currie is majoring in Social Work – BSW.

The College of St. Scholastica 

DULUTH, Minn. — Zachary Ross of Sidney was named to the dean’s list at The College of St. Scholastica.

Dean’s list members have achieved a 3.75 grade point average or above on a 4.0 scale.

James Madison University

HARRISONBURG, Va. — Amber Currie of Monmouth graduated in May with a bachelor’s degree in social work from James Madison University during commencement exercises.

Elmhurst University

ELMHURST, Ill. — Anna Lakey of Winslow has been named to the dean’s list at Elmhurst University.

The list is composed of students who during the term concerned, attained a GPA of 3.75 or higher.

Springfield College

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Springfield College recognizes local students named to the dean’s list.

They are William Banks from Jefferson, a Physical Education major; Kaitlin Morrison from Winslow, a Communication Science & Disorders major; Sophia Wells from Richmond, a psychology major; and Lilianna Clement from Lincolnville, a sport management major.

Lasell University

NEWTON, Mass. — Four local students have been named to the dean’s list at Lasell University.

They are Cameron Goodwin of Winslow, Sydney Veilleux of Skowhegan, Camdyn LaMarre of Belgrade and Grace Martin of Farmington.

Dean’s list status is awarded to students who have completed at least 12 credits as a full-time student in that semester and have achieved a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher.

College of the Holy Cross

WORCESTER, Mass. — Emma Concaugh of Oakland received a bachelor of arts degree May 24 from College of the Holy Cross.

Lehigh University

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Logan McDonald of Bingham has been named to the dean’s list at Lehigh University.

Dean’s list status is awarded to students who earned a scholastic average of 3.6 or better while carrying at least 12 hours of regularly graded courses.

Clarkson University

POTSDAM, N.Y — Matthew G. Parent of Oakland, a junior majoring in software engineering, was named to the 2024 spring semeseter dean’s list at Clarkson University.

Dean’s list students must achieve a minimum 3.25 grade-point average and also carry at least 14 credit hours.

Stonehill College

EASTON, Mass. — Amanda Goucher of Wayne graduated May 19 during Stonehill College’s 73rd Commencement.

Cedarville University

CEDARVILLE, Ohio — The following area students were named to the 2024 spring semester dean’s honor list at Cedarville University.

They include Katie Allen of Hallowell, Catherine Estes of Sidney, Josette Gilman of China and Rebecca Riley of Chelsea.

This recognition requires the student to obtain a 3.75 GPA or higher for the semester and carry a minimum of 12 credit hours.

The University of Maine at Augusta’s Lewiston Center

LEWISTON – Ashley Hammer of Damariscotta recently graduated from the Expanded Functions Dental Assisting program, at The University of Maine at Augusta’s Lewiston Center.

WESTON, Mass. — Ashley Voyles of Windsor graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Imaging from Regis College during the May 11 commencement exercises.

Southern New Hampshire University

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Southern New Hampshire recently announced the following local students have been named to the 2024 winter president’s ad dean’s lists. The winter terms run from January to May.

Hamilton College

CLINTON, N.Y.  — Charles Haberstock of Waterville was named the recipient of The Sidney and Eleanor Wertimer Prize Scholarship in Economics on May 7 at Hamilton College’s annual Class & Charter Day. Established in 1950, the event combines the traditional Class Day celebrating the end of classes with a commemoration of the granting of the college’s charter on May 26, 1812.

The Sidney and Eleanor Wertimer Prize Scholarships in Economics are awarded to up to five juniors who have excelled in the study of economics.

Haberstock, a junior majoring in economics and geosciences, is a graduate of Waterville High School.

Bob Jones University

GREENVILLE, S.C — Katelyn Hilton of South Gardiner, a sophomore nursing major, has been named to the 2024 spring dean’s list at Bob Jones University.

The dean’s list recognizes students who earn a 3.00-3.74 grade point average during the semester.
