Blynn C. Currier

BINGHAM – Blynn C. Currier, 84, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024, peacefully surrounded by his family at Cedar Ridge Nursing Home in Skowhegan.

Blynn was born on March 10, 1940, the son of Russell and Enid Currer of Norridgewock. Blynn graduated from Skowhegan High School, The University of Maine in Farmington, and with a Masters in Library Services from the University of Maine.

Blynn was an English teacher until he became the Librarian at Skowhegan High School. He also was the Media Director for SAD54 and the Skowhegan High School Track Coach for many years. He enjoyed gardening, crafts, woodworking, and was an avid reader in his spare time.

Blynn was predeceased by his loving wife, Lucille Currier; their infant son, Dale Currier, their oldest son, Stephen Currier; both of his parents; and his brother, William Currier.

Blynn is survived by his sister, Irene Oldfield and her husband Jeffery; his son, Robert Currier and his wife C.J., his daughter, Cathy Currier, his youngest daughter, Patti Gordon and her husband Merle, as well as his daughter-in-law, Glenda Currier. He also leaves behind a niece and a nephew; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

There will be a private graveside service for close friends and family at a later date, at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Dan and Scott’s Cremation and Funeral Service, 445 Waterville Rd., Skowhegan.
