Carl Everett Moore

NORTH ANSON – Carl Everett Moore, 80, passed away peacefully on Saturday May 18, 2024, at his home with his wife of 53 years by his side.

Carl was born in Mattawamkeag on Sept. 15, 1943, son of Grace Wyman Lucas. When Carl became an adult, he enlisted into the United States Army in which he served for two years. After discharge from the Army, he served with the Army National Guard for a year.

Carl was a lifetime member of VFW Post 7865 in Madison and American Legion Post 0061 in Kingfield.

Carl loved to joke and tease. He loved to go for long car rides, listen to country music, go out to eat with his wife, and just sit around having coffee with family and friends. He will be dearly missed by his wife and family.

He was predeceased by his mother, Grace; sisters Nancy Grover and Tina Lucas, sisters-in-law Frances Tuttle and her husband Louis, Adeline Smith and her husband Philip, and Erma Atwood and Donna Foss, brothers-in-law Earl Foss and his wife Goldie, Clayton Foss, and James Dufoe; nephews Louie, Clifton, and Timothy Tuttle, Wilson Foss, Randy Smith, and niece, Lorna Houghton.

Carl is survived by his wife, Ruth, who was the love of his life; children Carl Moore Jr., Rennetta Smith, and Jefferey Egan; brothers Richard “Dickie” Wyman and his wife Sue of Moscow, and James “Jim” Lucas of Anson, sister, Linda Dufoe of North Anson, brother-in-law, Frederick “Fred” Foss of Norridgewock, sister-in-law, Shirley Gordon and her companion Merton of Embden; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews; great-nieces, great-nephews; and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at a later date at Somerset Cemetery in North Anson.

Cremation Services were in the care of Dan and Scott’s Cremation and Funeral Services in Skowhegan.
