Lyndon B. Bussell

AUBURN – He celebrated over 30 years of sobriety and took pride in mentoring and building relationships through the Alcoholics Anonymous recovery community.

Lyndon was born in Hartland, Maine, to Charles and Leah (Trafton) Bussell. He was the eldest of three children. He graduated from Piscataquis Community High School. He served his country with honor in the United States Army. Through the years, he worked in manufacturing, operating heavy equipment, and forestry.

Lyndon is survived by his partner, June Lowe; his children, Kendall Judd, Stacy (Randy) Edgerly, Eric (Tammy) Bussell, Cory (Jean) Bussell, and Robert (Mary) Bussell; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; his brother, Vaughn (Darlene) Bussell; several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, Charlie and Leah (Trafton) Bussell; his son, Charlie Bussell; his sister, Audrey (Bussell) Butler; and his beloved dog, Hershey.

Our deepest gratitude to the staff of Togus VA Medical Center, Maine Medical Center, and Androscoggin Hospice House for providing the best care available for Lyndon.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at the Hutchins Corner Cemetery located on Cross Road in Wellington. There will be a gathering afterward at the Wellington Fire Department. We welcome all who knew him to join us in celebrating the life of a man who was loved deeply and will be missed.
