The Gardiner Nazarene Church invites children to a free summer kid’s camp called Stellar: Shine Jesus’ Light.
The camp is set for 9 a.m. to noon Monday-Friday, July 22-26 at the church, on outer Brunswick Avenue in Gardiner, with a picnic and celebration on Sunday, July 28.
Stellar is a “space” themed camp. Children will participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, play teamwork-building games, devour treats, sing and dance, experience Bible adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies, make crafts and test out Sciency-Fun Gizmos. Each day concludes with the Cosmic closing that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned, according to a news release from Pastor Vanessa Bettancourt.
Stellar Camp is for kids 3 to 12 years of age. Parents can register their students at gardinernazarene.org or at the church. Helpers over the age of 13 are also invited to volunteer; their volunteering hours may count towards community service requirements for their local schools.
For more information, call Sharon Cook, camp director, at 207-831-4200.
