WATERVILLE — “The Spongebob Musical” auditions are set for 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, and 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19, at the Waterville Opera House, 1 Common St.

Show dates are set for 7:30 p.m. Nov. 22, 23 and 29 and at 2 p.m. Nov. 24, 30 and Dec. 1.

When the citizens of Bikini Bottom discover that a volcano will soon erupt and destroy their humble home, SpongeBob and his friends must come together to save their undersea world. With lives hanging in the balance and all hope lost, a most unexpected hero rises up.
