CANAAN – Ginger Lee Williams, 51, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at home. Ginger was born in Lakehurst, N.J. on Sept. 23, 1972, to Gary and Louise Johnson.
She moved to Maine five years ago and fell in love with nature and all it had to offer. Fishing and camping became her passion, she loved all the animals she encountered in the great North Woods; moose, deer, and bobcats fascinated her. She was also a lover of horses, dogs, and cats.
Her passion was being a nurse and taking care of people who needed her help. She was also an on-call nurse with the Hartland Fire Department alongside her husband, Weston Gould.
Ginger was predeceased by her husband, Weston Gould.
She is survived by her father, Gary Johnson, mother, Louise; along with a sister, Tina Louise Johnson of Meriden, Conn.
Ginger left behind many new friends and family here in Maine; the Gould family became very close, especially to Weston’s mother, Shirley Gould.
Services will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory,
Ginger Williams-Gould, at your local animal shelter.
