I read with interest your Aug. 2 article about the $8.6 million Planned Parenthood shortfall. I was most interested that our Democratic Party-controlled Maine House and Senate failed to pass a $3.4 million bill to support this important organization.
The Democratic leadership talk the talk of supporting women’s reproductive rights. But when it comes to rug cutting time, apparently the Democrats don’t walk the walk.
It’s a shame. The women of Maine deserve better.
