AUGUSTA — Time Travel to 1775 is set for 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at Mill Park at 1 Water St.
Families can experience traveling back to the era of Augusta historic figure Martha Ballard. Time travel period is 1775 to 1812.
Visitors can witness demonstrations of early colonial activities like spinning yarn, weaving cloth, woodworking and carving, writing with quill pens, making medicine, training soldiers, playing games and more.
The free family event will be hosted by Old Fort Western and The Colonial Maine Living History Association.
