SKOWHEGAN — A rally for democracy is set for 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, in Coburn Park.
Maine Senate President Troy Jackson, Maine Assistant Senate Majority Leader Mattie Daughtry, Organizing Director at Maine AFL-CIO Sarah Bigney McCabe, and a lineup of Somerset County candidates and community leaders plan to attend.
The rally is an opportunity to meet candidates and express concerns and hopes for the future and register to vote. There will also be games for kids, a food truck, and local musicians Brian Richmond and Friends and Bangor-based musical duo Larry and Leslie Latour.
