AUGUSTA — Lithgow Library and Bethlehem Masonic Lodge of Augusta awarded 14 BMX bikes, purchased from Bath Cycle and Ski, on Aug. 26 to children ages 6-12 who participated in the Bikes for Books summer reading program.
Bethlehem Lodge has supported Lithgow’s Children’s Collection for approximately 25 years through annual contributions and through the Masonic Bikes for Books program for about five years, according to a news release from Carolyn Gallmeyer, Lithgow’s Youth Services Librarian.
The winners for the Bikes for Books program include Kamdyn Cahill, Eliana Ellis, Harrison Ellis, Hazel Ellis, Calvin Estey, Jude Fianagan, August Householder, Hailey Hunt, Medha Sri Manusanipally, Anastasia Proulx, Palmer Webber, Luke Boisvert, Hendrick Johnson-Jacobs and Brady Small.
In addition to Gallmeyer, also in attendance were James Havu, Peter Kemos, Lewie Manter, Bob Stratton, and Bob Descoteaux, all of Bethlehem Lodge #35 AF&AM.
